Brethren from far and wide gathered this week at our meeting on Monday 14 October 2024 at Galwally House, Belfast, for a night to remember!
Several Lodges came together with one goal in mind – to bid for the prestigious TLC Maul, proudly held by Craigantlet 486 since April 2024.
The TLC (Teddies for Loving Care) charity's primary goal is to ensure that teddy bears are readily available in all Accident and Emergency Departments of hospitals in Ireland that treat young children.
Bidding to host the TLC Maul is just one way that the Freemasons of Ireland raise funds for the TLC Charity.
With representatives from Lodge of True Friendship No. 579, Dungannon (Province of Tyrone and Fermanagh), Randalstown Lodge No. 598 (Province of Antrim), and Lodge Shamrock No. 354, Kircubbin (Province of Down), the atmosphere was filled with excitement and anticipation as the Brethren submitted their closed bids to the Worshipful Master.
As silence fell across the Lodge Room, the highest bid was revealed… Congratulations to the Brethren of Lodge of True Friendship No. 579, Dungannon! They were awarded the honour of hosting the TLC Maul in their Centenary year and signing the secret scroll inside!
It was a truly memorable evening where new friendships were forged, and future return visits planned. For those who didn’t succeed this time, don’t be disheartened – keep bidding! After all, Craigantlet 486 didn’t win on their first try either!
Here’s to more fellowship, friendly competition, and unforgettable moments ahead!
