On Saturday 30 November 2024 we hosted our first-ever charity bingo night at Galwally House, Belfast, and it was a huge success!
The room was full with eager players, many of them proud bingo virgins, all coming together to support our charities, including one of our nominated charities Angel Eyes NI.
A huge shoutout to W. Bro Stephen Boyce, our dedicated Steward of Charities, and his wife Margaret for organising such a brilliant event.
Let’s not forget VW Bro Terence Luney , our resident numbers wizard, who took on the role of bingo caller with ease. Renowned for his skill with numbers and expertise in managing the Lodge’s finances, Terence brought the same level of precision and enthusiasm to calling the bingo.
There were prizes galore for lines, double lines, and, of course, the coveted full house!
Dabbers were set aside for a brief interval as guests enjoyed a light supper, and following the bingo, a ballot was held, showcasing a wide selection of fantastic prizes.
A heartfelt thank you to all who attended and supported this fantastic evening of fun and fundraising.
We are delighted to announce that we raised a fantastic £850!
It’s safe to say that our charities were the real winners on the night—but we suspect a few budding bingo pros might have emerged too!
